Nina Katz is a San Francisco Bay Area artist whose work is largely concerned with the figure and portraits. Her work has been shown in a variety of exhibitions both locally and throughout the US, including the San Francisco de Young Museum, the San Francisco Asian Art Museum and in Orquevaux, France at the Gallerie Diderot. She was awarded first prize at the 2022 Marin Society of Artist "All About Women" show and again given an Honorary Award in 2025. She received a second prize for the Seattle League 2022 Portrait Award. She was also the recipient of two Jurors Choice Awards at the 2015 ArtSpan Awards and has been named semi-finalist for the National British Gallery British Portrait awards in 2014 and 2016.

Nina is represented by the Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco where she has had several group and solo shows. Additionally, Nina has been commissioned for many portraits throughout her career. Nina was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent her formative years in Hong Kong before attending college in Boston and eventually moving to the Bay Area. She is primarily self-taught and has dedicated herself to painting full time for the past 20 years. She lives and works out of her studio in Berkeley, CA.
